ive always loved the dynamic between balhun and their respective children. I am so happy that Malhun and Bala learned to respect one another and work together on the same mission. The child scenes are so moving. When Bala almost sacrifices herself to save baby Orhan, Malhun getting over her jealousy when Bala was pregnant, supporting her during her birth and celebrating when Aleaddin came back to life. Malhun saying “neder evlatlarim?!” when orhan and aleaddin were kidnapped. Bala and Fatma and the baciyan saving Orhan. All the interactions with Fatma and Halime. They truly look at each son + fatma and Halime (before her passing) as their own children, and the children look to them as their true two mothers. Aleaddin turned down being the successor of Osman, and it was given to Orhan bc he was much more interested in war. However, Orhan essentially made Aleaddin the first vice prez/vizir, and Aleaddin invented the precursor to the Janissary corps and created the first currency of the Ottoman empire. Osman’s wives and children were 100% a team. Sad that this beautiful family devolved into court intrigue, spying, concubines + their kids hating one another, and fratricide. I think if Osman were alive during fratricide times hed be extremely disappointed. Orhan and Aleaddin, Bala and Malhun set the best example period!

I am Team Elçim. Holofira is very beautiful & has a sweet love story with Orhan. But the ottoman state needs a brave & trained elçim to progress not love birds.
and please you all should stop comparing holofira to Bala. Aside the love story between Bala & Osman, Bala was even stronger than Elçim, patient than holofira, braver than men, educated by Sheikh edebali & absolutely well cultured & fit to be a bride of prosperity for any Islamic state not only Osman state.
