The October PPV he speaks of was Hell in a Cell. So my guess is either creative didn’t wanna have a cage match on a a hell in the cell PPV or they were gonna have a hell in a cell match but they were only gonna have two on that show and the two they went with were seen as more appropriate (undertaker vs Brock and Roman Vs Bray)

Stephen Amell would've been a good celebrity addiction. He did a lot of his own stunts on the show so he wasn't afraid to do something crazy. A cage match would've been fun and could've helped build Stardust's villian character
