Jonathan Poulton received his doctorate in plant biochemistry from Oxford (1974) and was a professor in Botany and Biology at the University of Iowa (1979-2010). His interest in daylily growing and hybridizing began in 2006. Most recently, he has focused on strategies to bring us ever closer to a blue daylily.
