I was a nanny for a family who had a dog across the street that would do this. When the dog across the street passed away, their dog was depressed. She got to receive the dog bed of her best friend and all of her toys. And you would see how she would look and wait for her friend to come back. Don’t ever underestimate the power of love even between animals.
