The Spanos family is too cheap to pay for a head coach who isn’t a no-name. History shows that they not believe head coaching matters. The last Chargers HC who ever got a head coaching job anywhere in the NFL afterwards was Bobby Ross…almost 30 years ago. Head coaching is not something where you can consistently cut corners financially and hope to be an elite franchise. We as a team will unfortunately continue to have historic meltdowns in big games for years to come because there will always be superior coaching on the other sideline thanks to the cheapskate Spanos family.
