A SECRET Highlight Mode for Obsidian

Hey all, here's a quick run-through of a secret new power mode for working with your highlights in Obsidian.

- To install the plugin, search for "Extract Highlights" in the Obsidian 3rd-party plugin directory.
- To enable the mode for your Obsidian, watch till the end of the video.

Oh my, Alexis. If this plug-in works as demonstrated, it will simplify all of the manual work I do to create atomic notes from my reading on a Kindle and Readwise. Thanks for sharing!

This is fantastic. One thing I would like is for Obsidian to support a generic template. I have a YAML template I insert everywhere but I have to do it manually. Using a generic template in the example in your demo would avoid the heavy lifting, as you called it, of inserting YAML or any other standard template feature you wish.

The official Readwise plugin really should have this functionality by default. Obsidian's whole point is atomic notes.

Alexis, you are a genius! Thank you for this and the Journey Plug-in (which is just awesome by the way). Question since I am just going to download this, can it work with the Zettlekasten Prefixer as I want my atomic notes to have this in front of the title? Just curious . . . Once again thank

Alexis, this is a stunning plugin. Ideal for me. Except it does not work for me as your video shows. My highlights appear as file/note name, not as text inside the note (although abbreviated highlight shows as link inside the note). I have posted more on your GitHub site. Any suggestions?

Didn't work for me, as I was planning on using this to split csv data from 700 rows into individual notes. It backfired quite well.

Great stuff thanks, but it's not working for me (0.10.11), it only extracts the first highlight.

But does this mean that you have to copy and paste every article that you read in its entirety?
