I agree to a large degree but you are still avoiding the underlying problems of mass immigration, Ireland cannot cope with the scale of immigration and the pace, critically its impact on services and accommodation but most importantly, socially and culturally. An immediate pause is required until such time as the fundamentals facing Irish citizens is addressed and a review of realistic numbers of migrants that is manageable.

There might not be a solution for people on housing lists, were people are seeking temporary accommodation before getting bogged down during covid, with the situation with Ukraine and the ongoing migration or immigration the government has used measures available to them to provide, in a small town homelessness was a very real and visible issue, and has pretty much reappeared, it is something taken billions annually and a very high portion of media attention, could the government have a step program from something like a calor gas heater and a wooden shed all the way to somebody gets there new home . . I.e 200 wooden sheds probably less than is spent ona month of issues relating to enoch burke
