Deploy to Heroku [ Ruby on Rails from the ground up - 5/5 ]

In this episode (the 5th and final episode in this series) we are going to take the Rails application we built in the previous episode and go through the process of deploying our app onto a hosting service called Heroku.

Thanks for this whole series, it was meaty but succinct, really clearly explained throughout and you made difficult concepts seem pretty straightforward. Nice job! I loved the whole series. Also, that ending though, LOL! Forgot to cut out some scenes, but it's nice to know that most people make mistakes the first time they attempt to tape for people who are trying to come into the YouTube community as producers!

Super useful - I'm following along with Darren Jones' / Sitepoint "Jump Start Sinatra" which is a nice framework for starting out with Ruby. However like many books, dependencies and deployments constantly change but this video filled the gap - thanks!

Nice series. Thanks for putting it together. I'm curious if it's possible to keep a local version and heroku version of the site in sync in terms of data? For example, say I build a site and have data locally I want to launch all at once on heroku. Is that possible? I came from the land of PHP and MySQL so this is all new to me.
