Also, depending on the chapter the view towards Dreadnaughts varies too.

White Scars dont have a lot of dreadnaughts because it goes against their love of mounted combat and speed and they feel pitty for those marines interd within.

Meanwhile Iron Hands dont give a fuck and love dreadnaughts, they think its awesome because they're all about replacing their weak flesh with machine, so a dreadnaught is like the best outcome for them.

One scene that has stuck in me is in Dawn of War 2 when you get to see Dacian Thule wake up as a Dreadnaught and you just see the sheer terror in his eyes, followed by a scream of utter dread that turns into distorted noise through the machines speakers.

Whoever was responsible for that scene did a damn good job!

This puts the Blood Angel Death Squads' Dreadnaughts in a deep, dark new light. Already taken by the Blood Rage and now going through unimaginable horrors to become a Dreadnaught after near-death. No wonder they are nearly all a melee only Dreadnaught that literally tears through the battlefield with their own hands like maddened devils in a rage.

The saddest part to me is that they have to deal with the fact that every time they wake up more and more of the brothers they knew died and slowly their names begin to be forgotten by the new marines

Please all, remember to give your Dreadnoughts hugs. It helps them to an unknowable degree. They need the hugs. Direly.

Also, make sure to properly mend the wounds they have, as well as whatever crops up from the surgery.
