Speciation - Making Branches on the Tree of Life

In this lecture we define the term speciation and discuss the conditions that may lead to speciation occurring. We also remind ourselves of what a species is and learn how they are kept separate from one another. Finally, we look at two different patterns or scenarios that link habitat to speciation - allopathic and sympatric speciation.
