I've written in before.
I first saw James on The Chase and it was thrilling.
Then one day he appeared on Jeopardy. I said to myself : Gosh, this game is never gonna be the same ! And I was right !
.. not only is he a brilliant guy, he's darn sweet with a subtle personality. He is already donating money to various charities - which is also a lovely thing to see. When interviewed, I admire the way he is completely upfront about his winning techniques on Jeopardy.
I think James has brought the Game to its inevitable conclusion. But that is not a bad thing.
I love the picture and story, in the paper, of James at 4 years old with his pre-school teacher. They had to make up special math problems for him.
He was adorable and he is anything BUT a machine.
Perhaps after watching James, people in this country will learn to admire brilliance instead of stupidity.
Gambling is fun to watch when it is coupled with a vast knowledge of everything - ( and I've finally learned about the buzzer.)
I hope he lands the baseball job that he's looking for - but not until after May 20th ... when he goes back to Jeopardy !

I can't believe someone would say James is hurting Jeopardy in anyway. I haven't had this much watching Jeopardy since Chuck Forest back in the 80's. I have not missed an episode since James' first one. I usually don't care if I don't see it, but not with James on. I do hope he shatters ALL the records!

I know James talks about how much the buzzer comes into play but because he’s so sharp, it almost doesn’t matter. In many cases he’s the only guy w the right answer

Mostly good interview. I don't understand the point in asking if he can disclose how many episodes he taped though. Of course he can't and probably doesn't want to even if he could. Why would you want to put him on the spot like that or possibly spoil it?

This man's talent could be weaponized, he is brilliant at math, he plays poker, he bets on futures, he has a head full of information. Watch what the CIA or NSA or Wall Street will want to tap this for their advantage. He's already receiving many "life changing" opportunities and offers.
