What if they put it as a charge off but sold it to another debt collector company to collect on? Will this still work?

If a creditor writes off the debt…. They have to forgive or cancel $600 of the debt.. in order to send u a 1099… this is wat I was told.. is this true?

Mike I just found your platform...I worked hard after Federal Prison to get my credit score up. I have a hospital charge off!! EXTREMELY DISCOURAGING!! To say the least. I have absolutely no problem making whatever a month...though Lexington Law was a complete SCAM!! Please if you can coach me...I will pay...my income is fine..though I've been mislead more then once.

It’s important to understand that going directly to the creditor is usually during round 4/5 and up. There is a process to this stuff and you can still dispute inaccuracies for removal.
