CTC didn't copy AA, and AA didn't change their sound because "they thought CTC copied them". AA changed their sound because, and Danny has said this in quite a few interviews, he/they don't release the same album twice (they make the album sound a bit different each time).

thanks man, basically all im pointing out is that the bands that are more simple musically are the most popular leaving extremely talented bands in the shadows who have put so much effort into their songs and instrumental capabilities. someone who has never picked a guitar up before could likely play a ctc song in a few weeks, maybe less.
