If you haven't checked your bank statements closely lately, you should do it now. Unauthorized Google charges are appearing on Chase Visa statements.

Yes. Happening to us as well. Not sure why the credit card companies aren't triggering fraud alerts on this. The Google Play store charges have different characteristics. Shame on Google for not responding, but they are all talk when it comes to security and looking at for average folks.

Sounds like people are going to have to change account numbers by shutting down the entire account and prevent the reoccurring charges. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This happened to a friend of mine more than once. Google apparently can't maintain it's database security, allowing it's customer's credit and debit info to be stolen and used!

Thieves use this to test if charges go through they then sell your number along with others through the dark web. They also target those who frequently make in-game purchases because they figure they are not going to remember if they made them or not.

I live in Dominican Republic and this has happened to me with 3 different cards from 2 different banks. IDK what to do. The latest card that it happened to was only registered in Uber, and they still found a way to steal the info. The transactions were from Google Garena, Didi, and PayPal.

Lol this is crazy that this came out 2 years ago. I literally just discovered my Amazon prime account being charged twice a month (once with the scammer and once with the real amazon prime). If it wasn't for this video I would've never suspected it!! 🙏🏻

Is there anyway to deal with this? It happened to me several times and I got a new card. Shortly after receiving the new card I had another fraudulent charge. I'm getting another card once again... Chase said everything looked 'fine' and said my Google account was probably compromised, which I know is not the case. My boyfriend's card is also on my Google account and hasn't been hit with any charges, just my old one and new one.

Literally just had this happen to me today. 7/18/22. For 21.19 it matched a payment of something I bought from Amazon. Exact same charge amount.

Omg this happened to me. I got $89.99 charged from Google, 3 times in the past 2 weeks. contacted my bank and filed a dispute!

I just had something happened to me today. 'Someone' tried to take $6.03 out of my Chime bank. (Came up as Google) Luckily it wouldn't let it go through. Didn't purchase anything for that amount (neither google apps/ or videos). I can't see where it came from because it didn't go through. Not really sure if I can even contact Google with the info to get it stopped. Just strange all around.

Yes this has happened to me. I have been charged $5..43, $10.87 and $21.75 for the month of December 2023. Totaling to around $500 dollars. Also Been charged NFS charges that total to around $400 dollars. Sad thing to happen especially when on a fixed income.

I am so upset-they maxed out my card and by the time I realized it--it was too late, also the bank is not reversing the charges as the charges are up to a year old. Because I do not use this card I never thought to look at the amount..my fault also for not being diligent and checking my card, but from now on you bet I will.

Got my son today 39.90 Paypal, he doesn't have PayPal. He gets 41.00 per month SSI wiped him out. This has to stop Google 😡😡
