Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.

All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.

Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.

How to remove ear wax?

Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!

How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?

If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

Went to see Rhys last week, very professional and excellent care :) Doubt my ears will make it into a video (no plugs, just some tlc) but if anyone is on the fence about getting your ears checked out then I would recommend the team here :)

Tonight I noticed that my daughter had a bunch of crustiness in the outside folds of her ears (not part of the canal but in the areas you would get piercings) and using my knowledge of the wonders of olive oil for ears and the moisturizing properties of coconut oil, we massaged some coconut oil in and it removed all the crust and she was happy

Its a recurring thing for her to get this crust on her ears, a few months ago it was actually nearly bleeding and very red so we got a prescribed ointment for it. Now we just have this tube of ointment that i dont know if she will ever need again, same with all the other ointments shes been prescribed for her various rashes… the life of a parent 😅

If the tools are single use, are they recyclable? There must be a ton of metal waste after using them.

Love your videos as always. ❤

Where does all the little hairs come from that are embedded in the wax and such? 😮
Very fascinating!😊

Winnie the Pooh would be so jealous. imagine him getting stuck in a giant ear canal, i bet Rabbit would STILL draw a face on him and give him "antlers"

Have you considered accepting videos from other providers (unpublished) and critiquing them for their and our edification?

Rys you and Conor need to use Neels right correct instead of the Jobson Horne --6 much thinner than the jobson--and the wax scope is fabulous on seeing what is going on in the ear

With irrigation, some experts dont recommend it as it can lead to ear infections, wouldnt it be possible to counteract this by irritating with an acetic acid/hydrogen peroxide solution rather than just water?

I remembered you saying they were one use but I'm curious if you use the same one for both ears or is it per side as well? Maybe if there's an infection or something? Just wondering thank you for another great watch have a good night and have to get some "Tips with Taylor" they're great for info as well as entertaining 😊

As they are used for medical purposes I get why the tubes are single use, but is there no way they can be recycled or repurposed?

If the tubes are aluminum, do u at least recycle them?

I think some steel wool wrapped around a 3mm bit in a cordless drill would make quick work of that uncooperative sticky stuff.

I have laugh whenever I see the wax /skin stuff...it constantly reminds me of so many food items... raisins, figs, toffee, etc....
