Even if you ignore the fact that they do sound somewhat similar melodically, there is another similarity that I find quite strange. The first song sample ends with "crying on the bathroom floor" and at the exact same part of the melody, in the second song, it says "love on the bathroom floor". If that is a coincidence, it certainly is interesting
