Cool Tool For Cutting Out Electrical Boxes (Mark N Guard for Drywall Installation) Make locating your outlet boxes and protecting the wires inside foolproof with Mark N Guard outlet markers!

We've all been there. You spend ages marking out your electrical box locations. You hang your drywall, transfer the marks and grab your cutout tool. You're being careful so that you don't damage any wiring, but as you feel around, you realize you're nowhere near the outlet. Not only have you just damaged your brand new drywall, now you'll also have to remove the whole sheet to double check your numbers. Easy mistake, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.

If this scenario sounds familiar, maybe its time you checkout Mark N Guard by Buddy Tools LLC. These durable ABS plastic plates are designed to sit firmly inside of all standard-depth electrical boxes, shielding your wires from any potential damage during the cutout process. Then, when its time to hang your drywall, the pointed tip penetrates the drywall sheet revealing the exact location of your electrical box (effectively eliminating the need to measure and mark the location of each box)!

It would be nice to see it work with the wires in the box.

You cut both boxes clockwise. Other videos show to cut counterclockwise. They find the center n cut to the right then jump over and continue cutting counterclockwise.

Put a dab of lipstick on each of the four box corners. Press the drywall against the wall and transfer the lipstick to it. Connect the dots with a drywall saw. Perfect every time!

You're routing the box wrong.. counterclockwise on outside cuts ... clockwise on inside cuts, such as knock down door openings

Cutting direction s/b like using a wood router bit.

Are there any versions of this where the part that pokes through is metal or made of something sturdier? I've seen reviews that the plastic can bend rather than poke through.
What tool were you using to cut and what sort of blade/bit did you have?
