Node js is run time environment built on Google v8.
Browser run js natively.
Every has it's own js engine to run js code. Like google has v8 engine.
Node js = v8 + c++
Node js provide us apis to use in backend.

Benefits of using node js in backend.
Accessing file system or better network system.

Node js is light weight. Good for data intense application not good for heavy commuting application.
