Monitoring HF Ham SSTV - 14230.0 KHz - 1900UT - 08/20/14

While uploading videos to YouTube, I thought it would be a good idea to do a bit of ham radio listening. I decided to monitor the main SSTV (Slow Scan TeleVision) frequency, 14230 KHz on the 20m band. What I found there was a huge pileup of SSTV signals that made obtaining a complete image very difficult, so I suppose there was a contest of some sort going on.

Sorry for the background fan noise as I had to put my homemade refrigerating base (with two large fans) at work to keep my laptop cool as the video uploading process went on. It's very effective but, being homemade and unlike commercially available units, it's very noisy too!
