Показать описание
A noise comparison on 40m between an inverted vee with apex at 26’ and an 80m EFHW tuned to 1.2:1 SWR using multi-tap UNUN. Time of recording was 9pm EST (0100 UTC). I engage the DNR first at the 02:45 point if you want to skip to that

Well that’s very interesting I would have thought the dipole being a balanced antenna would have been quieter, just shows how good the uncle Blowzo UniUn is 😆. Awesome 👏. 73 de Will, M0LGW

Nice experiment. If it weren't for EFLW antennas I would probably make far fewer contacts or not even be on HF. They are inexpensive and easy to setup in challenging circumstances. I do need to wind a multi-tap UnUn like uncle 'Blowzo'. 73 to all!

Interesting video! I'm not really surprised. Should I be surprised? I'm kind of fond of the EFHW.

How high is the efhw? I have one I haven’t set up yet. I use another one for pota Cw. Any chokes or line isolation involved?
