nice klein tool, I have their breaker finder and that has saved me a ton or running up and down to the basement, i wouldn't have a use for this tool but I'm tempted to buy it just cause its Klein...lol great knives too, i have always been a fan of Kershaw knives and a lot of theirs are made in Japan...awesome video guys, have a great weekend!

These kind of tools save your ass when your doing all that difficult troubleshooting, although I rather have the crazy expensive Commander. I don't do any of that kind of work on any kind of a regular basis to justify the prices however. Good stuff guys.

I just have the old Klein VDV scout. It sucks when you don't have the latest and greatest anymore. It feels very similar to buying an Apple product. Back to the cable tester my Klein VDV scout has came in handy a bunch of times. I even had to use it to school a cable guy and say it wasn't my homes wiring. The problem was you couldn't figure out how to provision a cable modem properly. Do you guys have WOW cable service in your area? I know they have some service in the Chicago Land area. I tried wow and wasn't happy with the service the only reason I did switch was I ran out of promotions on Comcast. The good thing is I was able to talk Comcast into giving me their service at the old price I had. The only complaint I have with Comcast now is the service craps out for a few hours every couple of weeks. I had Comcast for a good 2 years and it worked great I wish I knew why the service is sucking so bad the past few months. Anyways back to what the original video was about. You can't go wrong with any one the Klein testing equipment. I would really love to have the VDV commander, but that thing is super overkill for the kind of IT/wiring work I do. I fix the occasional network or phone drop or add a new one that isn't what I do full time. Great video Dan and Eric!!

Guys don't get me started on knives cuz i just bought 3 microtech and a paragon steel this week.lol in if made in japan it is always great quality, lots of spyderco knives are made in japan and i love spydercos.

Nice unit.  Not something for the average homeowner though.  I couldn't justify purchasing one, though I could see myself renting one for the occasional trouble shooting.
