Welcome to the latest round of my Collector's Edition videos, where I showcase my collection as it stands in 2023. This, the eleventh episode, continues with my Amstrad CPC Cassette Collection (Part 1.1 Code Masters). The Code Masters collection will be shown in multiple parts, and until I reach the collection goal of a full CPC set..

My original collection videos were first uploaded in 2017, just after I started my YouTube channel. Up to that point, I had shown you what I had from the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, right the way through to the PS3, over an upload period of two years or so. It's now time to go around again!

I've seen BMX and Jet Bike complete with poster and sticker just once in five years on eBay! The were sold at the same time, and on the Amstrad. As a CPC boy I still kick myself that I didn't get them!
I have both with posters, but with stickers... I think that's nigh on impossible now.
Love both of those games though, especially with friends back in the day. They were tough, but I could complete them.

The first CodeMasters game,
I have ever played, is VAMPIRE.
I got it as a christmas present 🎁 back in the late 1980's, when i was a kid.

Also, i had FAST FOOD for my Commodore 64 as a tape version in a compilation called
QUATTRO COIN-OPS.

And the first DIZZY game, i have ever played,
was TREASURE ISLAND DIZZY on my Amiga 500.

WHY PAY MORE?

THE FUN STARTS HERE.

😹😸😺👍🕹️

Back in the day the only time the Commodore vs Spectrum wars had a truce was when both camps were laughing about the poor kid who was lumbered with an Amstrad!! sorry I couldn’t resist😂 great vid as always!

This is great news for me, Not just because it’s an Amstrad set but because Codemasters was the budget label I always ended up getting BITD more than any other, just got sucked in by the box/art style time and again, including several that you show here. I also remember having the Amstrad Action demo of the first Dizzy game, you could escape off the side of the game into blank screens and just fall endlessly, it blew my tiny mind 🤯. I had that Frankenstein Jnr game (box art again 🙄), it looks and feels to me like the same game engine as Werewolves of London but is also apparently a slight re-skin of a game called Bride of Frankenstein, obviously reissued to appeal to primary school age mugs like me back then. I can’t wait for more of this series.

Must admit I have a real soft spot for Codemasters games on the 8-bits, just love the box artwork and style
I remember liking Jet Bike SIM on the Speccy and thought CJ's was great on the C64 but Dizzy will always be king for me (sorry Dave🤣)
Great stuff Paul 👍✌️

I don't mind the Dizzy games, but I am not crazy about them. Having said that once Treasure Island Dizzy got released on the Amiga I rushed out and got it to see what all the fuss was about. I don't think Codemasters did many shooters in the style of Transmuter (think I have a copy somewhere). I had Fast Food on the Amiga, very fun little game if incredibly easy. Frankenstein Jnr looks a lot like Werewolves Of London. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the collection Mr B 😊👍🐻

Good stuff. A bit hit and miss with the Codies budget games. Never completed a Dizzy game without cheating. Fast Food is great. Good luck completing this one 👍

Never really got into the amstrad stuff but interesting to see the difference between that and the other versions . Still got my original copy of trasmuter for the speccy - probably bought it for the graphics shown on the back but yeah remember the game being shite, might give it another go ! Great vid again mate 🕹👽
