Tokyo Olympics 2020: Japan works on catering to vegetarians

With the Tokyo Olympics approaching, food might be a concern for some foreign visitors, especially for those with vegetarian diets. Vegetarianism is rather unusual in Japan, with restaurants offering limited meat-free options. Politicians have admitted that not enough has been done for those with dietary requirements. Some institutions have taken the initiative to provide certificates to identify vegetarian products, but implementing an official standard certificate takes time.
