Stupid Project #3
I refurbished a Coleman Campstove 425F
The Coleman campstove I bought at a Thriftstore has been cleaned sanded and painted.
Slightly restored, it looks pretty good.
I like the new Rustoleum paint job.

Just has a respectable reference you should have used header paint after several uses the paints going to start the bubble from the Heat just a polite suggestion Also regarding header paint if you have anybody who owns one of those gas wall furnaces about foot and a half wide 5 ft tall have them get header paint for that outside shell they have eggshell and white. Just for any future reference have a wonderful day and by the way the paint job looks great

Hello, I'm repainting a coleman camp stove, and I was wondering what was the brand and name of the paint you used? It came out really close to the original tank color! nice job

I also enjoy restoring and repainting old Coleman stoves. Just a suggestion - take the valve assembly out of the tank before painting. Takes less than 5 minutes, the tank is easier to paint and you can check and clean the fuel air tube and generator while you are at it.

These stoves are around $100.00.
I find them at Thrift stores for under $10.00.
Tip-You can find out how old a Coleman Stove is by looking at the numbers
on the bottom of the stove.

Just use Acetone and a rag . It will strip that old paint to bare metal in no time, no need to brake out sanders and electric cords lol

You do realize that you wrecked a brand new stove for this video? That is the the most recent 425 Coleman stove. The burners don't even look used more than a few times. These stoves are powder coated. So you light sanded and sprayed it with spray paint that will scratch and chip. You pretty much wrecked a good stove because you wanted a red stove. Good job.
