I saw a guy leaving a car show in his Ferrari, no noise. I thought, why? The whole point of owning an Italian car(really any performance car) is style and sound. These cars are putting on a show, the sound is supposed to get your attention. Then look at me. Take that away, the show is gone. How big did mimes get? They are putting on a show, but most likely you will walk right by. The guy yelling on a street corner, even if he is nuts. Your going to to look, people have been using that idea forever. To get your attention.

I'm 70 and in agreement. I'm now driving a '23 LT1 Camaro with a 6-speed manual with the exhaust system. I get a thrill every morning when I get into it and start, hearing the roar and burble. I play racquetball every week with a guy who has three Tesla's and always giving me crap about driving a combustion engine. Yeah, he's faster but he's missing the point. It's the thrill of being connected to an ICE vehicle. Try to explain to him, it's not just getting off the line fast, it's the connection to the car and I don't have nor do I ever see having a connection with an electric vehicle.

I agree. for 20 years now for me it's been all about the V8 burble in the cars I bought for fun. a 91 928S4, an 05 Mustang GT, an hopefully a Charger scat pack next year. Wish I could afford to own a Ferrari but out of my league.

I agree that electric cars just don't stir up any emotions. Remember that all humans are born with Two Ears. And if you're not using them to hear cars pass by, something is fundamentally wrong.
On another note, I think the 430 Scuderia is severely undervalued. I believe once people realize what a special build those care are, they will appreciate like crazy....

Completely agree about the new hybrid Ferraris. The poor exterior styling and digitization of interior on 296 is just bad. Give me 458 all day. Porsche is going same wrong direction.

Ferrari doesn’t exist because of the sound. They exist because of their exclusivity. They exist so rich people can drive them and everyone around them has to see them and know they can’t have one because they don’t have the money or aren’t part of the club because you have to be able to buy three other models before you can get the one that guy has.
