Hey guys, I'm from East India and my state is West Bengal. I am from the northern part of the state and if you go east from here you're gonna reach North east India. Infact my town Siliguri is the gateway to the north east Indian states. If you go south of west bengal you'll no more be on the land cause you're in the ocean. However if you keep going south you might hit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands which by the way was once under Bengal Presidency. And if you keep going north of north of west bengal you'll go outside of India on the Himalayas.

The Bhakra Dam you've visited is in Himachal Pradesh (it's where Shimla is). it's on the Sutlej River in Bilaspur, HP in northern India.
The dam forms the Gobind Sagar reservoir.
