ESP-Now Real World Range Test! How far can these ESP32 boards communicate?

We had a break in the weather, and we finally got the chance to test out the real world range of our ESP-Now based ESP32 robot controller! We're still fine tuning a few hardware details, but as soon as this controller is ready for prime time we'll have a full tutorial with all of the schematics, PCB Gerber files, and example code you'll need to make one yourself!

In the end, we consistently saw stable communication distances of right about 500 ft, that was regardless of which 2.4 GHz antenna we were using, which is awesome! That being said, I'm still convinced we can go further.

For more Arduino and ESP32 Tutorials head on over to our site.

Thanks so much for watching! To keep up to date with all of our tutorials here on youtube, be sure and subscribe!

Try to increase the output power in code and run test again to see the difference
