The Bard's Song (In the Forest) by Blind Guardian is a song I've wanted to record for years. I held a vote on Twitch recently and folks selected this as the next cover. It was time. Haha! Here it is.

I struggled so much to record the guitar riffs. They sounded fairly simple, but once I tried playing them... oh, boy. Can't help but think of all the times music teachers told me why practicing and discipline were important. hahaha! I must find this mystical and elusive discipline to see if I can improve my skills.

Thank you Malukah. This is a very important song for me and a few of my friends. Around 6 years ago or so, our fine friend passed away by drowning in a local river (suicide? murder? no one knows even now). This was our drunken go-to-sing-a-long tune with our small crew. And still to this day we always sing this in memory of our lost brother. Thank you for making this song even more awesome. I'm shedding a tear for our fallen comrade while listening to your beautiful voice. Thank you Malukah.

Crazy. Malukah has been my favorite video game musician for over 10 years. Blind guardian has been such a huge part of my life Aswell, since I met my wife, over 12 years ago. In less than a week I get to see Bling Guardian for the first time with her in phoenix AZ. What A weird timing coincidence.

this is a beautiful cover, been a blind guardian fan for what.. 18-20 years? Not sure, been forever I grew up to their music and this is definitely doing the original justice.
