I saw the movie today and it was beyond amazing. Americans of all races across the nation must go see this movie. It's not just a movie about civil rights, but it has a profound message that informs people of this nation's dark past and allows them to understand why it is so important to fight against the injustices of today.

Your conversation about tenderness and intimacy and the natural indulgence of black love is what I aspire to reflect in my films and drama's and sit-coms. Thank you all on the panel I appreciate you all much. Don't you just love Forest Whitticker ? he is so calm and humble. Thank you.

I can't wait to see The Butler. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Oprah and Forest so I'm very excited to see their new work. I love what Oprah said about the film is now made and will be forever part of history. I love what Forest said about the film being a mirror in showing us how much or little we are achieving the civil rights dream.

The genius of “Lee Daniel's The Butler” lies in ability to weave history with the electrifying story of a family, in a way that made me laugh and cry more than any other film.

And what more can I say about the absolute perfection that was my idol's performance, than what Obama already has: "Oprah, my girl, she can act."

Can't wait to see this movie. Also, can't figure out why no one ever discusses Oprah's acting role as Bigger Thomas' mother in the movie The Native Son. She was fantastic and so believable.

Director: Lee Daniels. stated on NPR on Jan 5th,    “when I first showed the movie [Precious] at a Harlem Theatre, the audience mainly African Americans laughed, as if the movie was  a comical/comedy” he continued “ when I showed the very same movie two days later at Sundance Film Festival, the audience mainly Caucasians, you could hear a pin drop”.

A Black person made this statement regarding black people. What was he implying about black  people.   What else can I say?  As a white guy, other than I rest my case.

Perhaps it is the very same rational why black people don’t see the damaging effect of Affirmative Action.    I am not certain what was Mr. Daniels implying.  But  it  does  not  reflect  well on …black people.

This is why I cut it off at 6 mins. I don't want the movie ruined.

I just watched The Butler. That's a joke they didn't win an Oscar...let alone not get nominated. It's now one of my favorite movies 🎬
