Volume of Composite Prisms

Показать описание
Composite Volume (Prisms)
When we talk about finding composite volume, we first must recognize volume as additive. Then, we can find volumes of solid figures composed of two non-overlapping right rectangular prisms by adding the volumes of the non-overlapping parts. Sometimes this can be done in multiple correct ways, depending on how the cut is made, and if the resulting 3D solids do make rectangular prisms.
Composite volume of prisms is part of the Common Core Standards for Grade 5.
Terms used in this video are:
Composite solid: When multiple 3D solids form one solid.
