I pass by this pier daily on the sky train & I never knew its existence until it went up in flames last night .

Can this city be the next downtown Vancouver. Burnaby is taking over as the next up and coming vibrant downtown. New Westminster is lagging behind in high rises and infrastructure. The city is slow to getting any permits for new builds.
The new generation does not care about the old heritage buildings. Forward only!!! Start building new!

So sad. We live meters away from it and watched the whole thing from the window. Hurts to see them demolish the boardwalk to reach the fire underneath.

i am full of regret i really went to this place not really paying attention to its lovlyness. now im just remembering just how lovly it was
