My favourite bookish presents were prints of landscapes from fantasy worlds, a book dusting brush, and a star shaped pot lid holder to store my next-on-tbr stash

Instead of a mug, I'd recommend a mug warmer. I've gotten far more mugs than could even fit in my cupboard, but I would love if my coffee/tea would stay warm when I get too distracted by my book to drink it.

Yes yes on the tote bags! I’m in the secret third category: doesn’t like tote bags and yet has so many from uni events

congrats on 5k!! 🎉 i was in the live when you announced the channel (proud subscriber 112) and it’s been lovely to see it grow and all the opportunities you’ve gained along the way!

I only read 1 book in 2023 but I am about to surpass my goal of 20 for 2024 thanks to your videos, which have definitely motivated me and helped to keep myself bookishly accountable🥰

Hi there, Lyd

I just wanted to stop by and say how much I admire your dedication and passion for books. Your content is always so engaging and inspiring! In fact, I recently featured your channel in a video on my own BookTube channel, highlighting some of the most amazing creators in the community—and, of course, you had to be on that list! 😊

Thank you for everything you do to make BookTube such a vibrant and welcoming space. Keep up the incredible work—you’re making such a difference in the bookish world!

Warm regards,
Kris (from SmartBookWorms)

Book tokens have such a bad reputation but I think they are ideal gifts for bookish people. With a token, no need to worry about giving a book they have already read/own/already decided not to read. I'd much rather have a book token than have to pretend I haven't read something/be interested in reading something I have no interest in reading (which I have had to do on more than one occassion).

A personalized, autographed book is a good idea too.

On the topic of book pillows, Book Beans by indie companies like Book Beau might be a better option. They're smaller, they're super comfortable. The only issue is because it's a small company, they don't have a HUGE selection of covers available at any given point, but I'm so happy I bought mine.

oh I have so many tote bags and because they're meant to be "green", i now only buy them now if they're something i REALLY REALLY love since their intention (in my experience) is to stop an abundance of bags hahhaa

Some great ideas there! I visited a shop recently and saw the book nook building things for the first time. I was amazed by the intricacy and the detail. They do look pretty irl but you’d definitely need a certain level of crafting skill 😅

My friend bought me a kindle for my birthday a couple of years ago. I hate e-readers. I never used it 😅

Please please check trigger warnings on books before buying it as a gift.

I had a family member buy me a book with a big story line on dementia and it was quite upsetting they knew it was a triggering topic for me. Worse it was on the blurb.
