Agreed! The collectors for the most part are trying to set pricing in the vintage gaming market and everyone thinks they have rare and nos condition hardware. It’s getting hard to get into the hobby because of it. Look at the ds/3ds market it’s ridiculous.

I don’t shop anymore unless they have sales or something like that. They get all of their prices from eBay (I literally seen an employee looking up some items that were sold to them on eBay) I have better experiences with thrift stores or Facebook marketplace.

People think collecting items makes them valuable, but that mindset is so old it now defeats itself. Fucking nobody cares about your original xbox, the people that care about 1 or 2 exclusive old games already have the console they need, and emulators blow these shitty old machines out of the water. Go to a pawn shop and get a PS5 for 220.
