With a jump in technology foreseeable look at historical events and the characteristics that divert jaggedly the flow of computing innovations. The vernacular used shows the creativity and the intent within the newly actuated language expression. This generally denominates the interactions that brought the person/s originally to talk about computers. You have people's first and forever introduction to a computer exciting, fascinating, and imaginatively explosive. Then you have other people who are by all means relatively clueless but find usefulness in what they can get out of it. So for ideologies of extremities sake, there are therefore people who see what they can do for this thing that blew their mind. Others see on what scale their money situation can be augmented and the extent to which it can be squeezed until there is nothing left to bleed. My point is two different people looking at the same thing for the first time both minds cycling at burnout velocities. The resulting timeline could be a base of three realities which one benefits everyone, another costs everyone except one person. There are other benefits for all who know or understand the importance under recognizing the value they can give if even just to connect in conversation with words strategic for the benefit of those yet to discover.
A brief from 43 years of observation, plenty of talking with actioning in so many directions for the pleasure of initiating transformational progression. This gave me an eye for talent and potentiality in technology.
Microsoft had a reputation amongst those in the know who experienced the shifting of education based on fun straight to face melting boring based on getting ripped off for no other choice. Microsoft took things of value and called it their invention. Not once or twice. Taking an operating system designer and Apple Computer Company to the cleaners and then proceeding to clean up is how they did things. In doing so they managed to destroy the Commodore Amiga, Atari Corporation and many others indirectly. And almost IBM via its operating system on IBM clones.
Thought a brief history would make into a more thoughtful way of measuring magnitude.

If anyone thinks this technology (that nobody can control or understand how it learns & advances on its own) will be aligned with the values of human beings, while it proves it can deceive humans, is nuts. Experts in the field who have worked to develop AI like Mo Gawdat say “wait a few years before having any children” on Dairy of a CEO podcast along with Connor Leahy’s warnings and many, many others. Greed is winning because anyone in their right mind would be fighting for humanity. Elon Musk recently said “I hope the robots like us.” That is a BIG hope Elon because nobody knows what this crap will ultimately do and what it’s agenda will be once it reaches AGI or, “super intelligence”. The risk to humanity becoming a casualty of this thing’s agenda is real. Wake up!
