IPD Volvo - 2011 S60 Project Car Overview

We’re very excited to announce IPD’s new project car. This 2011 S60 T6 AWD isn’t brand new, but that’s ok! We like our project cars to be a few years old with some miles on them. That gives us an opportunity to see how well engine, interior, and suspension components are holding up. IPD utilizes project vehicles not only for promotion, but for RandD and new product ideas.

This particular car was built specifically to be put on display at the Las Vegas SEMA show. Galpin Auto Sports did a fantastic job repainting the car, outfitting it with 3 piece custom wheels, and finalizing it with custom interior that includes a blue suede headliner.

It's amazing how this car aside from the R-Design badges and parts it looks very similar still to my 2015.5 S60 T6

Finally they care about the T6. Sorry but the 6cyl has always been better than the 5, no replacement for the smoothness, balance, and increased displacement. Call me a heretic, Just not many pushed the potential of the previous T6 motors due to fear of the 4T65 gearbox in the old S80. Which I never understood given auto Volvo boxes weren't any better really and its a cheap transmission to build, because GM. Those that did push it found they can hold nearly 400whp on stock internals just fine just with larger injectors, pump, and a single turbo setup. Then you have people upgrading internals, running higher octane fuels. Like Captain Bondo's T6 powered 245 that made 540WHP with just H beams and water meth, and the Vocks Volvo Amazon making 700HP with E85. T6 FTW.

Just a shame its an auto, but regardless still looking forward to see what its capable off when ipd have breathed there magic onto that awesome s60
