Contingency analysis is very important in power system. Contingency is the failure or lose of significant part of power system that corresponds to the future events or conditions that may occur or not such as the fault in generators, transmission lines transformers and etc.
Contingency Analysis, which is one of the essential part of power system and security analysis can simulate and detects the result of network problems that would happening in the immediate future in the power system.
The aim of the contingency analysis is to perform and study the outage events, and identify faults such as overloading, over-voltage or any other series voltage violations
Security and reliability is one of the most important factors in power system. Therefore, the contingency ranking considered as a crucial part in power security assessment.
