The film had to leave out about 80% of this long scene due to time restraints and there are some differences as well. This year, my goal is to finish at least 5 original Bond novels by Fleming. Yes, he was a wonderful writer. Reading his original Bond novels is like diving deeper and deeper into this rich spy universe.

Lotte Lenya plays this scene for all its worth. She knows it's way over the top - that's what the script called for. They probably all got together to look at the rushes and just laughed their asses off.

The great Lotte Lenya of Mack the Knife fame a refugee from the 3rd Reich. She knew human monsters 1st hand. Her Klebb is1st class.! Very well played indeed.
