Honestly if I had one of these I’d have to get an HDMI monitor, probably 7 inch”, to clamshell on top of it & make it a Treamcast V2 Metal Edition...since finding a real Treamcast is a needle in a haystack

Would be nice in black indeed. Not a fan of the purple and silver. All black for me. Maybe a red light on top would be nice. The concept overall seems great. Comes with a power suply also great. It has a lot going for it!

I do think the case looks nice (silver and blue is ALWAYS a great combo), and I really like the easy access & swaps for the SD card. The extra air flow is maybe the best feature. I'm just not sure I'd to it to mine at this point....I've already spent plenty on the gdemu, cover/sd card extender, brook controller converter, and the akura converter box (love that thing!!). If I had/was going to do the hdmi mod, I'd probably get this for sure.

At first I was kind of on the fence of if it's worth it to get one but as since have changed my mind since the SD Memory card and power switch is on the back of the case which is hard to get to if you have it in a entertainment center. Yes it's so cool looking and has much better cooling system and I've seen other alternative enclosures on E-Bay for $130 that are the same as the original but just different colors with no advance super cooling, but why did they put the memory card slot on and power switch the rear, for 170 they should have put both of those on the front since the SD Memory slot is on a a extension ribbon cable and power switch is on a long wire. If they made the case a bit wider than the original Dreamcast there would be room on the sides of the case to run the cables. Also why did they make it compatible with only a GDEMU modded system and not for both GDROM and GDEMU? Most people don't have a GDEMU. The GCLoader from Laser Bear Technologies fixes the issue of the SD Memory Card not being easy to access. Also why not make a translucent plastic version so you can see if the LED on the GDEMU lights up when it detects a problem reading the memory card or maybe make the frame around the controller ports translucent and light up.
170 bucks is too much to spend for all it's design flaws.

Dreamcast retrofighter controller (blue) would be a perfect match for this metal casing. I dont like the metalized color on a retro console. Looks more like a mini Wii than a Dreamcast.
