Update: BetterJoyForCemu v6 supports the controller and converts it to Xinput, so it can now be used with pretty much everything (Steam's generic configuration didn't work)

I feel like you made this episode just as a convoluted way to tell everyone you “deliberately” rated link’s awakening like that

The quality to upload ratio on this channel is absolutely insane, a godsend for those who can never find simple to-the-point content, whilst also being entertaining and informing. simply, thank you

I'm glad they eventually added button mapping to the Switch OS itself.

"...which isn't even really a service as much as it is a ransom fee for online play."

The Nerrel have become my favorite YouTubers. I love listening to the the content on my first watch, then enjoy having their voice running in the background. It's comfy.

I like your dry humour. Its dryer then a desert. Or my mother's turkey.

nerrel: “the modern d-pad is anchored just like the original - and it is really stuck on there. _More_ _on_ _that_ _later_ ”

This was everything I've come to expect from a Nerrel video with the added bonus of a teardown channel parody. 10/10 surgical gloves.

The netcode for the online play of SNES Online is actually INSANELY good. My connection at my apartment is terrible, but when I play with friends on this, it feels like local.

Glad to have helped! I certainly hope to help in future videos wherever I can. Also, I learned something new about the SNES controller which is an added bonus. :)

The d-pad feeling "worryingly stiff" is just because it's brand spanking new!
I changed the rubbers inside my original SNES controller and it too felt too stiff at first, especially in comparison to the worn out mush that the original rubbers had turned into, but after a couple of years of playing intermittently it now feels right.

10:25 Great Ending haha. Poor Yoshi, all those years of getting punched in the back of the head by Mario has finally taken its toll.

One of the first things I noticed when I got my 1993 SNES was that it didn't have printed L & R buttons like my friends' 1992 SNES. The 1997 controller revised for the SNS-101 consoles also lacks the printing. I was keenly aware throughout the life of the SNES and it seems to me that the vast majority of SNES controllers have no printing on the L & R buttons.

That said, there are at least two revisions with the printing. You can often find the earliest ones with their cords pulled out exposing the wires inside. That's because the posts that the cable winds through often break, allowing the cable to back out of the controller. Later controllers added a ridge that connects the posts together, strengthening them so that they do not break as easily.

God, this is such a good review. Snappier than other reviews, quicker, yet containing way more information. Nerrel you're nutty good at this.
