I started learning blender last night and I thought I was going insane! I spent so much time (unsuccessfully) trying to “straighten” my mesh to no avail. I’m so glad I stumbled across this so I can stop spending so much time rotating and changing the view lol 😅

I mean, being developed in the Netherlands it's only logical, that blender comes with a bit of dutch angle by default. Not a bug in my opinion. 😂

Yea that was intentional. My bug report was closed in middle school years ago. Being told that it was intentional to help show depth and orientation.

In the default startup scene, the camera bug was fixed. But when you add a new camera, that slight rotation is still there. I’m running blender 4.3.2 on macOS.

The first thing I do when I open up a new scene is reset the camera’s rotation and lock its Y axis. Very irritating.

This used to fix itself if you went into orthographic view. Then returning back to perspective didn't have the issue. This was just in the startup file's viewport rotation!
