The most ridiculous thing about this is that the government can’t possibly pay off the debt regardless of how much tax they try to rake in. The government doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem.

As a retired person, I decided to sell on eBay all the clothes in my closet that no longer fit. I figured I could get between $6 and $20, depending on the item. Imagine my surprise to learn I have to pay taxes on that money! To me, it’s like an online garage sale, and maybe I’ll make some grocery money. But the government has its hand out wanting their share of even my cast-offs. Meanwhile, the rich have all sorts of tax shelters and loopholes….

Occasionally I would buy sneakers just to resell, but I noticed on all of the platforms I was using to sell the shoes, wanted my SS number because of this new tax law coming in 2023. The IRS do not want you to have anything extra! You get a bonus from your job, they tax the bonus at a higher rate. You get laid off and if lucky, your job offers you severance, they take just about half of that as well. They don't want you to have anything without them getting a share of it. 🤬

They have already started with the elderly. They haven't sent me my reimbursement from my homestead real estate taxes. They did it from the city hall and gave me a confirmation number, but came back and said I had to do it on line by first putting photographing my social security information on line. I refuse and sent it by mail in a certified letter, but they have yet to send me my money. The elderly are first to be made to go digital. They are taking back our homes.

I heard about this when they first brought it up. My husband and I have a small business and are pretty outraged by this.
When are the rest of small businesses going to uproar about it? We need to fight this.
