The Sölden ski area ranks among the most renowned ski areas in the Alps. And with good reason, also among the best: thanks to its high Alpine altitude between 1350 and 3340 meters above sea level, two glacier ski mountains and top modern snow-making systems, there is reliable snow from October through May.

Sölden is a very lively resort, with a buzzing après ski scene. It may not rival St Anton, but it certainly comes close at times and prices are definitely lower. Off the slopes, the James Bond Experience at the top of the Gaislachkogel lift is well worth visiting.
