As a lower elo player that has played Urgot in most of his games this guide is defiantly something I intend to follow. Honestly what I do is the same thing as you minus the Frozen Heart, I normally build Manamune but I will swap it out for sure and see how I like it. Either way thanks for the guide, I'm inspired to play him again :)

I currently main top lane with Jax, but I'm often forced to play a different role. For AD Carry I've started maining Urgot, and he's the best bot-lane I've ever played. As you said, he's basically an Anti-Carry, and in my eyes you could consider him a bruiser. Ever since I've switched from Vayne to Urgot, I've crushed my lane and won most of my games as Urgot within 20 minutes. It's pretty amazing =)

Flat armorpen reds and quints, armor or Mana regen yellows, Magic resist or Mana regen blues.

The armor reduction from Urgot's E factors in before your flat armor pen. This causes early game champions to often have less than 10 armor against your physical damage.

After brutalizer, this obviously gets reduced even further. 46 base armor penetration from 25+15+6.

I like it still, however the main reason people stopped building manamune on urgot is due to the fact it scales off lategame compared to frozen heart which is an excellent item you can keep until the end.

Brutalizer is much the same as manamune in the way it scales off later, it's not an item you want at 50 minutes since it only costs 1300, however it's too good to pass up on. Just from what i'm thinking is the combination of building manamune and brutalizer together makes you fall off hard.

I'm not 2k ELO, but as Urgot I start with Shield. I know it sounds stupid, but the extra 80 Hp or so really, really helps. Dont trade with other carries, as you wont win. Once I hit level 3 I generally have a Tear of the Godess and from that point on, I whittle away at their HP with the E-Q combo from massive range. I generally want an Ali or Blitz support for the mega-cc. Leona works good too, but she doesnt fit as well as the other two.

What's your opinion on Urgot in S3? He seems very strong with Black Cleaver and the muramane I believe (since it gives extra damage to your Q when the tear is fully maxed). The new items can hypothetically make him very strong.

I don't think they affect him much, just a small armor nerf on his ult and less shield on w won't affect him much.

Awesomefusion, what do you think about tear/manamune on Urgot? I'm lower elo player and i find it helpful, to be able to spam skills all day long.

Definitely 21/9/0 as you need to take advantage of early game and that's what masteries are.

Also, I'll try the Brutilizer on him. My current build is Manamune (a few dorans at first if I need them), Frozen Heart, Banshees Veil, Bloodthirster, Guardian Angel, and Maw of Malmortius.
