One last skill mastery guide, we have combat! A lot of the other masteries add buffs or new way to do existing things, but combat chooses to add it's own new system, trinkets. Using different trinkets can either increase your combat potential, or earn you some money!

Sections:
0:00 - Intro
0:22 - The Mini-Forge
1:03 - Finding Trinkets
2:29 - The Trinkets Themselves
5:06 - The Anvil

Gotta love the little bit of comedy here: Yes, you can put the Mini-Forge anywhere, but placing it *next to the other Forge* is ... uh, a choice.

Something EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to note about the frog; you can put them in fish tanks to get a little frog friend.

The frog is probably my favourite trinket, if only for the amusement factor. He's cute just running behind you, and there's nothing funnier than lil hungry frog boi casually swallowing a Royal Serpent whole.

Also, idk, I like the implication of how the frog eats enemies. No drops, no slayer goal progression, no combat XP. By all accounts, the enemy did not die. The enemy is just removed from existence. Cast into the void, never to return. I have the most terrifying creature who wields the most horrifying of fates equipped to my trinket slot, and he's my pal. Priceless.

Another note: you can gain a full heart with Seb by gifting him a frog egg; fairy trinket for Jas; parrot egg for Leo and Emily.

A higher level fairy box has been super useful. Not having to carry around food has been great.

Now I will wait for the compilation of these even though i have watched these separately now.

A fast magick quiver is a great defensive trincket. I can run around the dangerous skull caverns without fighting all those annoying and fast monsters, instead focussing on blowing rocks up, because the quiver pushes them away. It makes it super easy to dodge them and bomb everything.

As a proud owner of the perfect magic quiver I can attest to the fact it cost several hundred iridium bars to do it.

Note: I think luck affects the chance of getting better results. When I ate rock camdy and drank gingerale, other trinkets were much easier to get the results I wanted.

the basilisk paw has been amazing for volcano mines runs for me. i always try to kill every enemy, so ignoring the annoying debuff the flame guys give is great

I know why the spiders have a lower chance.

Spiders are the most valuable enemy type to fight. With burglars ring, monster musk, parrot, an artful hammer and acrobat, you can plow through a huge number of the things and get valuable resources like galaxy souls and pressure nozzles, bars and ore, gold, enough void essence to make its own income stream and other miscellaneous resources.

Lowering their drop rate for trinkets and golden mystery boxes keeps them from being overwhelmingly profitable. Right now it's still beaten by Legend II fishing and high end skull caverns dives.

Fairies are _incredible_ for Qi's Hungry challenge though.

Favorite trinket is definitely the prismatic hair dye sold by venders at the calico desert event.

It works really well with my favorite “hat” the tropiclip.

I myself personally like the fairy. The healing is always good when going on long dives.

If you've got more real-life time than spare iridium bars, you can put the anvil next to your bed and restart the day after a bad trinket roll. There's not a table for them like there is for geode drops; it really is just random at the time of re-rolling. I'm not sure how legacy-RNG would affect this, but I have tested it a little bit without that feature turned on.

I've only have 87 hours into Stardew Valley and i was wondering what those trinkets were! Now I know! I managed to get the speed one, two fairy box levels 1 and 3, and the magic quiver.

For a measure of how good the parrot egg can get:
I had a neutral luck day and an infested floor on floor 61 of the mines. I used a speed buff and reloaded the floor with monster musk for the entire day. I had a galaxy sword which could one-shot everything except slimes, and a level 4 parrot egg.
I made *109, 000g* in that one day.
This could be maxed out with the worst daily luck possible and by not having the special charm (from the truck by JojaMart).
