I have used Bathe+ for years, works well in a ceramic coated car.

If these don't clean well, then you use a normal Shampoo first and one of these second. You may as well just use a normal shampoo and then go with Autoglym Polar Seal (or Touch-on, etc) or a spray on sealant (bsd or collinite beadcoat, etc), which is what most of us do anyway.
So I don't see the point in ceramic shampoos at the moment

I love Touch On but see it more as a quick LSP. My lazy wash technique uses an AVA machine with the lance that has 3 beakers. One contains Touch Less, one has Touch On and the third has water: Pre wash with Touch Less & rinse, if car is not too precious then coat with Touch Less again and handwash, rinsing mitt in bucket of warm water, rinse, change beaker and apply Touch On, rinse, dry the car and finally change beaker to the water one just to clean out the lance. However, on the one car in the household that is not swirled, I do a proper wash in the middle using BH Autowash.

Ultimately I came to the conclusion you did in my testing as well. Much better to apply a spray and rinse sealant.

Ive been using the Carbon Collective one for the past 2yrs and find it very good. Washing a panel i tend to do about 8 or 10 passes with the microfibre, and then immeadiately rinse. Then do the next panel, and so on. It offers a really good gloss, and it lasts about 3 to 4 weeks until the next wash. i do about 500 to 800 miles a week, every week. So my paintwork gets a hard time, and this ceramic shampoo does a great job.

I think we both share the same mindset. I've got the Maguires and the Bilt Hamber Touch-on shampoo, IMO they both perform average. I use the Maguires on the missus car and the Touch-on in my snowfoamer, I use it after Carpro reset to give a coating to all the places a ceramic detailing spray can't, i.e prevent corrosion on the radiator and condenser aluminium fins, areas behind the front wings, bumper vents and panel gaps, wheel arches and under chassis. Im hoping that this will reduce corrosion and repels water and damp. Keeping the places that trap water and provide protection from corrosion. I do think a slightly higher concentration on Touch-on works better. Be warned, you will have to clean oit your snowfoamer filters more often, but thats not a big deal.

Jon I love my Turtle Wax Ceramic Wash👍 been using it since 2021 and there are times I’ll take an 1ounce and add it to my rinseless wash 1oz to a gallon.

After a prewash the only thing left on a car is traffic film, and all of the shampoos get rid of that easily... I use many of these products in a foam lance at double or triple consentration and does not need any other protection on the cars I wash regularly

Never had any issues with TW Hybrid solutions personally. Plenty of water repellency when used to maintain their HS coatings/waxes.

Agreed, you need a decent soapy wash and then apply something to protect. I've used up all my ceramic shampoo in the snow foam lance after a proper wash. I'll be sticking to 1900:1 and a spritz of Gyeon wet coat 💦

Bilt Hamber Touch On through a lance is far better. Weeks of protection for very little effort and use of product is kept down. Personally I would never use it as a shampoo.

Think of them as a foam-and-rinse ceramic topper rather than an actual shampoo. They are easy to apply and being touchless, no risk of marring the paint.

Jon, as always another interesting video, you always make good content. I’m mostly interested in lance delivered sealants, lance on, pressure spray off. This is how the CarPro Hydr02 foam is best used. I personally use Mile Deep Shield, because it doesn’t call itself a shampoo & sealant. Koch recently came out with lance on, spray off product Hydro Foam Sealant S0.03. There are loads of these on the market, but with slightly confusing messaging on how to use. I have a professional ceramic coated car, so I just looking for the easiest way to top up the coating with a sacrificial layer. Obviously something like Gyeon Wet Coat is very easy to use, but if you are set up with multiple lance bottles, nothing is easier than these lance on, spray off sealants.

It would be good if some of these companies abandoned the ‘shampoo aspect’ and made ceramic snow foam LSP. I think Mile deep Shield is one of those and looks very good.

The CarPro label is wrong. I’m not sure where I read it but you need 4 ounces in your foam cannon and that works quite well. It”s not as hydrophobic as the HydrO2 concentrate but it does work. It says that you can use as a bucket wash soap but I’m willing to bet that most people use it as a foam cannon sealant after using a better soap for the contact wash.

In my experience, the best of these kinds of shampoos I've used is the orange Infinity Wax one (Wax On I think it's called). It's quite a thick gel, cleans fairly well (or at least felt like it did), and leaves a glassy finish like you would expect from a SiO2-content QD/wax.

Also, is Chemical Guys actually a relevant brand? They do branding very well, and are widely available, but I feel like all of their products always perform below average to poorly. Early on in my journey into detailing, I bought a few of their products because they were very attractively branded, but I've always been left disappointed. Can you think of a single CG product that's as good as the label looks?

Don't be a brand snob ! I bought the armour all after watching your video, you can always decant it into a nicer bottle if it bothers you, I'm all about how good the product is, don't care if it's expensive or cheap or a top brand or a poor branded product if it works fantastic I'm in.! Great vid as always.

A kind of halfway house then. Maybe useful in the winter when a proper clean isn't really worth it on a daily car and it's a bit chilly out for applying the normal spray sealant/drying aids.

You should try the SONAX Xtreme Ceramic Active Shampoo at some point - you might be surprised

In my experience consitent use has been key to the great results. I've had very consitent and fantastic results using the Bilt Hamber products on prep'd (decontaminated and polished cars), when used over time, which is of course much harder to replicate in these tests. Touch Less foam pre rinse, auto wash (for contact wash), then Touch On in a lance (best for me by a long way in a spare lance, compared to bucket or sprayer methods) and then a good rinse with the pressure washer. When used in combination as above and then consistently used over several months, the water beading and look and feel of the paint is amazing and after just a couple of washes the positives really compound! Using Touch Less in the subsquent wash after Touch On delivers fantastic results!
