Franklin Delano Roosevelt or FDR as many called him is thought by most teachers and history books to be one of the best presidents that has ever lived. Truth be told his new deal programs helped to bail out America during the great depression, but some of the the legislation he passed has a tremendous negative financial impact on today's society.

The new deal didn’t even heal the depression, the tax rate due to him so high it depressed business, it prolonged it multiple years and the reason we got out of the depression is because we had no competition because the rest of the world either wasn’t developed or significantly bombed during the war, that’s why we started booming after the second world war
