I had two of these, a Fade to Black variant (blue to black) and a white dial. Wonderful watches that are remarkably thin for 300 meters of water resistance. Lots of complaints about Borealis' ordering system, but I never had an issue with it and have owned six of their watches over the years.

Beautiful watch, I love that blue. Haven’t heard too much from Borealis or many of the other older microbrands in what feels like a couple years now. I have a bit of a soft spot for microbrands even though I’ve moved on from them and only have one left. But microbrands were the watches I started out with and what first got me into this hobby.

I had one and loved it, but then I saw a Ulysse Nardin Le Locle dive watch and realised that this is nothing but an homage to it. I don’t like homages so I sold it immediately

Do you have to go back and pay the other half or will they just charge the card you used to begin with? Would rather then just charge so you don’t have to worry about it or give you the option to pay all up front and let them split it in to but I’m guessing they will send out an email letting you know that you have to pay the rest, I just don’t like if you happen to miss that email your screwed out of your original payment

Boreal is are smart. Your $195 is most probably their break even cost, so you finance the actual make of the watch for them. You then pay the balance and get your made to order watch in effect? But, if you really like and want the watch, do you care about paying 50% up front?
