(λ1)^2 +(λ2)^2= (λ1+λ2)^2 - 2λ1λ2
= (3)^2 - 2(1)= 9-2=7
To avoid quadratic equation, we can use Vieta's theorem

Hello sir,
I'd one quiry ... IF A=I-B
Where I is identity matrix (9×9) and B (9×9) is also given . They said that find eigenvalues of A so my question is if i find eigenvalues of I and B and take substraction..Then that eigenvalues are also of A ...Is it valid statement..? ...
Thanks .
