You're so lucky you can get Johnny's seeds. I'm in Australia and they'll only send them if you order $500 worth. That's USD, so about $600 Australian - that's a LOT of seeds!

I enjoyed your seed haul and love seeing pictures of the flowers 😊. I see out your window that it's quite wintry! Just started Lupine in a water jug; first time planting that. I have many more jugs to fill..kinda gets me thru January here in Colorado. Thank you for your very pleasant and informative videos.

I don't have deer in my area but rabbits do eat my zinnia when they first come up from direct sowing or when transplanted out. Rabbits don't usually bother them when they get a little bigger. Now I just sprinkle Repels All around the zinnia in the beginning and that works to keep them away. Love your seed choices!

Great selections! I need to pick up some of these. On the snapdragons, I think Madame Butterfly is usually considered a group 2 or 3 depending on who you ask, but that series is my favorite. Rocket Mix is group 3-4. (The F1 references that they are first generation hybrids.)

Love the video! I am a flower farmer and adore Johnny seeds as well. Just fyi…F1 refers to the generation of hybrid seeds not when they bloom

Zinnia is deer, rabbit and rodent tolerant.. never have had issues with them. Celosia like amaranth I grow in polytunnel to get longer stems. You can make small diy hoophouse for them easily with small budget.

have you had luck with madam butterfly perennializing? I want to grow them but the ones I got from botanical interest perennialize for me so I like those ones. 😅 Oh and I have had luck perennializing dark night Scabiosa in zone 8 we just moved to zone 6b so we will see how it does here. I am going to mulch a lot over them in the winter to see if I can get them to stay living. 🤪

F1 has nothing to do with the variety it means that it’s a hybrid variety 🙈
