If you can get pregnant and you aren't generally prone to motion sickness and suddenly *sitting still playing video games* is making you motion sick, take a pregnancy test

I missed my period, negative pregnancy test, got the actual flu, still negative pregnancy test. Finally a few weeks later it came up positive. So yeah, got the flu? Pregnancy test!

Yes, I have PCOS (only diagnosed in my mid 30s) and it was not unusual for me to go several months without a period, so when I got the flu one November for two days and never had another symptom beyond weight gain until he started kicking. I found out I was pregnant at 28 weeks, which I am very glad one of my friends dragged me to get the test.

At this point, it should be "if is is possible for you to get pregnant, you have had sex with someone who could get you pregnant, and something strange happens with your body, take a pregnancy test!" For me, it was when I went from my normal chocoholic self to wanting everything vanilla flavored. I hadn't even missed my period yet... that ended up being a chemical pregnancy but apparently it was enough to mess with my taste in food?

I got COVID last year in January. But I started to feel sick again after I was getting better. My period was also late. I just had a baby 9 months ago, but my period was late. Even though my husband thought I was being ridiculous I took a test. It was positive and now my surprise baby is 6 months old.

I hadn't had my period in 3 years and I thought I was coming down with COVID because I felt like garbage. Told my boyfriend to get a COVID test, and to pick up some pregnancy tests because it had been a while since I had taken one. Took both and forgot about them. Later I casually glanced at the tests on the counter and went to sweep them into the garbage because the COVID test was negative, but then I did a double take, and my heart dropped. The pregnancy test was as positive as positive could be, with the test line being darker than the control line. I started shaking and took all the pregnancy tests my boyfriend has bought. Positive. Positive. Positive. I was told I could never have kids. Went for an ultrasound that day. I was three months pregnant. My baby girl is a month old now. So yeah, if you feel like you have the flu, take a pregnancy test!

I have PCOS and had been trying for 9yrs so when I got the flu I thought nothing of it. My friend however bought and forced me to take a test, my flu is almost 10 and he's amazing! 😍

I don't usual get sick easily, but came back from traveling with a bad cold. Took a test the morning after I got home and got those 2 pink lines. If you're feeling sick, it never hurts to take a pregnancy test.

I also just realized from reading these comments, though, that I had a sign a week before that. We had gone on a week long cruise and I've been fine on large boats before. This time, though, I was feeling so seasick! Thanks baby 😅

If you live in the USA and are capable of becoming pregnant, take a pregnancy test - like once a week! In this climate, it's better safe than sorry.

This is funny, because I thought I was coming down with the flu, and I stopped at the store on the way home from work and got a pregnancy test with the flu meds.

It was a week early for me to miss my period, but two lines showed up. He's 23 now.

With the current state of affairs if you are having sex with someone who can get you pregnant take a pregnancy test monthly even if you got you period😂 I've seen soo many stories of people having their "period" but was really pregnant.

I got influenza in December and after three or four days of being really sick I thought I was just having a hard time bouncing back. NOPE! Pregnant! A positive pregnancy test was the best one day late Christmas present I ever got!😂

Can confirm... I was throwing up loads, but so was my (male) partner so I assumed it was a virus. Then it took too long and I did in fact take a pregnancy test. We still don't know why my partner was throwing up but my symptoms have been explained 🙃

If you’re having sex and it’s a case of uterus/ovaries/vagina + penis (protection or not) just take regular pregnancy tests. It’s your body and you should know what is going on with it! Even if it’s incredibly unlikely because you’re using protection or it’s unlikely you could be pregnant, it’s rarely impossible.

This is why doctors almost always will tell you to pee in a cup even if you say you aren’t pregnant. 😅

Recently I was late and taking pregnancy tests (Yes. Plural. Tests).

I remember going to the counter at a supermarket and asking the lady for 3 tests. She laughed and asked if I wanted to be sure, I also just laughed and replied 'yeah, sure I do'.

Well ... all 3 of those tests showed as negative.

Eventually I was going on day 12 and still nothing. I decided to Google it the evening before and concluded that I'd buy and take ANOTHER test the next day.

It was positive ...

By that point I'd done no less than 5 tests that had all come back negative.

Lesson learned, if your cycle hasn't started, but you haven't gotten a positive test either, it could still swing both ways. Just keep testing until unless your cycle returns.

By the way some of these episodes go, you might do well testing even AFTER you believe you had another cycle too. 😂 You can never be TOO sure.

Doc, pretty much a wedding day baby with my first one. I was violently ill for the next six weeks. my big sister finally called me and said, " Go get a pregnancy test, NOBODY has the bad flu constantly for THAT LONG!
However Doc, I was in a horrible car accident when I first became pregnant with my daughter, baby number two, no positive pregnancy and the doctor examined my fundus in a physical exam and could them tell I was pregnant.
I bled every month for the entire pregnancy so that was scary. She came out perfect. I always have much more critical anemia when I was pregnant

I had no signs other than no period (but had been late for 2 weeks before so thought nothing of it) once I took a test I was already 7 weeks lol
